Glen Jean - William Franklin "Bill" O'Neal, 76, of Glen Jean, WV passed away on Monday, August 10, 2026 at CAMC Plateau Medical Center following a long illness.

Born November 22, 1949 in Mount Hope, WV he was the son of the late Alfred Franklin and Betty Jo (Craddock) O'Neal.

Bill was a proud graduate of Mount Hope High School and Marshall University. He proudly served in the United Sates Army during the Vietnam era. A retired coal miner with 22 years of services having retired from Maple Meadow Mining, a member of UMWA, and a former employee of FMRS in Fayetteville.

Bill spent his last years of retirement working at Kroger's at the Beckley Crossing.

Those left to cherish his wonderful memory include his loving wife of 49 years Regina A. (Dixon) O'Neal; daughter, Katy O'Neal; and his granddaughter, his pride and joy Kennedy O'Neal.

A memorial Mass honoring Bill will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Oak Hill with Father Jojan Joseph as celebrant.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to services at the church in Oak Hill.

Light refreshments will be served following the Mass.

Private family inurnment will be held at a later date.

Bill's family requests no flowers and donations of sympathy may be made to the charity of your choice in his memory.
