I send my heart felt sympathy to “Versie’s” family. Versie was more like an Aunt as well as a close friend. I enjoyed visiting with her and you girls, Judy, Kay, and Vickie when we were growing up. Versie always made me feel special and welcome in your home. Then I married Clarence and began traveling for many years with the Army. She and I exchanged Christmas cards for many years. These cards kept us in touch as each of you were growing up, marrying, and having your families. Also, Clarence delivered newspapers to you all even before I met him. As you can we, I have very fond memories of Versie. I send much love, thoughts, and prayers to all of you🥰

Great Aunt Versa would always stop in the store I worked at in the Raleigh Mall when she worked at Montgomery Ward. I would always tell my Maw Maw Treadway that her and Versa looked exactly alike and she would argue that they did not look anything alike. I loved them both. Many hugs and prayers to the family.
