Silver Lake, Wis - Velma L. Swan, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, peacefully passed away on September 25, 2025. She now rests in the arms of her beloved parents, Cecil and Elsie Stewart, and her husband, Daniel C. Swan, reunited at the Heavenly Gates. Velma lived in Fairdale, West Virginia, and previously called Silver Lake, Wisconsin, home. She was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family above all else. She leaves behind her beloved children: Joe Richmond and wife Kim; Marty Swan and wife Sherry; Kevin Marty and wife Jill; and Danny Swan and wife Stephanie. Her legacy continues through her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as Well as nieces and nephews. Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Elsie Stewart; her loving husband, Dan Swan; her brothers Don Stewart, Paul Stewart, and Cecil Jr. Stewart; and her sisters Joyce Beardsley, Ruth Stewart, Jean Williams, and Molly Fleshman. Velma loved to travel, go shopping, and spend treasured time with her family. Her life was filled with joy, laughter, and the warmth of togetherness. She will be remembered as a kindhearted soul whose love and generosity touched everyone she met. A celebration of Velma's life will be held Monday at Bolt Church of God Bolt, WV with Pastor Ricky Peters officiating. The visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park Beckley, WV. Those wishing to honor her memory are encouraged to cherish their loved ones and carry forward her legacy of love.
