Thornton Russell Wood Jr., was called a variety of titles in his walk of life. Among those include, born again child of God, Husband, Father, Pop, Uncle, Deacon, Electrical Engineer, Coal Miner, Certified Electrician, Airman, Veteran, Freemason, Business Owner, and Owner of his Camaro Suzie Q.
His humility, forgiving attitude and patience were something to be admired. He was truly a man who walked with God every day and showed his love and compassion. He was proud of his church and his service to his country.
Most of all he loved his family. Even when he didn't feel like talking, he would tell you he loved you. His family meant more to him than anything else he ever had.
Services will be held on Thursday, March 13, 2025, with visitation from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Pennington Smith Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow immediate at 1:00 pm at Restlawn Memory Gardens, Victor, WV, with BJ Evans officiating.
