Thomas F. Medford
Thomas F. Medford, age: 62 of Oak Hill Passed away October 27, 2019 following an apparent heart attack or whatever it was that took me out.. Still funny even after death.

Born December 27, 1956 to Franklin Lee & Mabel Elizabeth Cobern Medford in Charleston, WV.

He was of Baptist faith and Loved Jesus Christ our Savior.

Tom was an auto & truck mechanic who enjoyed being a member of The Busted Knuckle club, a dispatcher for Schlumberger Oil Field Services then to parts before becoming disabled.

He followed in the footsteps of his Dad, Best Friend & Mentor in his career.

He was a U.S. Army Veteran and loved his country with all his heart & soul.

Tom, Ted (fishing name) or just Medford as he was known by his friends.

He enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies that included hunting, fishing, boating, playing his guitars & singing. He could ruin a song with the best of them.

He was a big fan of WVU football & the Greenbay Packers. Go Mountaineers & Cheeseheads!

In addition to his dad Frank, he's also preceded in death by his Beautiful Mom, Mabel, only brother Gaylan Lee (Smurf),his sister Theresa Hicks, his only Son, Thomas Andrew(Andy) & first Grand Daughter Abby Nycole Medford.

Maternal Grandparents Emil & Celeste Payne Wilson, Paternal Grandparents Carl & Stella Bogan Medford of Witcher Creek, Belle, WV and his Cocker Spaniel, Shirley Noel.

Tom was the last of his immediate family. That's MEDFORD. (Period)

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years Nina, daughters, Misty Diane Medford & Kelli Renee (Jonathan) Adkins of Oak Hill. Granddaughter Isabelle Nina Medford & Grand Son Brayden Elijah Adkins who were the light of his life.

Sisters, Tammy Akers (Benny) of Oak Hill , Brother in law Randy Hicks of Lansing Wv, Heather Underwood (Scott) of Hilltop, his beagle Ted & Benji the mutt.

He truly loved his entire family but most of all his Grand children.

Herb Harvey, Dave Thomas who are like brothers from different mothers.

We went to different schools together.

Herb got him back into playing music while working at King Coal Chevrolet in Oak Hill.

A special nephew from Alexander, Ky. Nicholas Fancote.

Plus way to many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts & Uncles & friends to mention.

Always a smile on his face & a joke to tell, he will sadly missed by all who truly knew him.

Services will be Monday November 4th at High Lawn Funeral Home in Oak Hill at 11 am. Friends may call November 3rd from 6-8 pm

In lieu of flowers, his wish was for donations to be made to the Disabled American Veterans and The Wounded Warrior Project.

This obituary was written by Me long before My passing so if you're reading it I just want to tell everyone I've met, it was a Wonderful Life & pleasure knowing you. See you all on the Flip Side.
