Reidsville, NC - Steven Dewayne Morgan, 73 of Reidsville, passed away Monday, June 29, 2026 at Ancora Compassionate Care's Gibson House.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, July 11, 2026 at First Baptist Church in Eden. Burial will follow at Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 from 4-6pm at Fair Funeral Home.

Steven was born July 10, 1952, in Oceana, West Virginia, to the late Oscar Morgan and Virginia Aliff Morgan. Steven spent many years in coal mining. He worked as a delivery driver until his retirement. Steven loved his pickup truck. He enjoyed gospel and bluegrass music. Steven also enjoyed coin collecting. He loved to travel, having visited his favorite places, Thailand, Europe, Germany, and Alaska several times. He also loved his cruises and going to the mountains, especially the West Virginia mountains. Steven made friends everywhere he went, never meeting a stranger.

Surviving are his loving wife, Emily Griffin Morgan; brother, Brian Morgan; sister, Jeanine Morgan; best friends, Phil Ratliff and Steve Bailey; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Steven is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Darlene Morgan, and his trusted sidekick, Sampson; special friend, Tommy Rowe.
