Myrtle Ida  Finney
Myrtle Ida Finney, 92, of Mullens, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2019, at Wyoming Nursing and Rehab Center following a long illness.
Born April 23, 1927, at Fireco, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Charles and Myrtle Ida (McKinney) Whitlow.
Myrtle Ida was a member of the Highland Avenue Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She along with her late husband, W.E. Finney, were Part-Owners of Wyoming Auto of Mullens where she served as Secretary for many years. She was the last survivor of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, W.E. Finney; her son, W.E. Finney, Jr.; her daughter, Beth F. Smith; her granddaughter, Jessica Brooke Finney; and her two brothers, Clarence Glen Whitlow and Charles Thomas Whitlow.
Those left to cherish her memory include her son, J.G. Finney and his wife, Theresa, of Mullens; seven grandchildren, William Bret Finney and his wife, Wendy, of Bluff City, TN, Priscilla Finney of Sydney, Australia, Jacquie L. Gaefke of Sulfolk, VA, Jodi Lennox and her husband, Rob, of Clarkston, Michigan, Kari Smith of Milford, Michigan, Ashley Roberts and her husband, Matt, of Glen Daniel, and Andrew Finney of Beckley; and nine great grandchildren.
Graveside service and burial will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 21, 2019, at Monte Vista Park Cemetery, Princeton, with Rev. Lewis Arnold officiating.
Those that are attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Highland Avenue Baptist Church, 319 Highland Avenue, Mullens, WV 25882.
