Mary Ann Allen
Mary Ann Allen, 82, of Beckley, WV transitioned peacefully surrounded by her family Monday, March 16, 2020 at Beckley Appalachian Regional Hospital.
Mary Ann was born August 6, 1937 in Beckley, WV. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Daisy Cottle-Surratt of Fairdale, WV. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Ruth Michael, Margaret Snow, Naomi Pavlik, Joyce Brooks. She was also preceded in death by one brother Doland Surratt; son James Michael Allen; and daughter Sandra Kay Allen.
Those left to cherish her precious memory include daughters Debbie Lester, Mary Jo (Bobby) Hamilton, and Michelle Holstein; son Ronnie Allen; 29 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers Sonny and Dale Surratt and her adopted sister Peggy Hollins.
The family of Mary Ann would like to show gratitude for the nurses and staff of BARH 3rd floor for being so supportive and caring throughout the final weeks of her precious life.
A graveside service will be held privately at Allen Cemetery, Fairdale, WV on Sunday, March 22, 2020. A public memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Online condolences may be offered to the family at Blue Ridge Funeral Home has the honor of serving the family.

Hey Mom. While we were in the hospital in your final days on this earth you were covering me up with a blanket making sure I was comfortable and warm. Always looking after others. Now you are in the warm arms of GOD. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
