Beckley, WV - Lucille "Ann" Hutchinson, 69, of Beckley, WV, passed away peacefully early Saturday morning, August 23, 2025, at Bowers Hospice House, to spend eternity with her Heavenly Father.

Born February 17, 1956, Ann was raised in Skelton, WV.

Ann was a 1974 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and was a member of the marching and symphonic bands. She attended West Virginia University and later earned an associate's degree in Respiratory Care from Carver Career Center. Over the course of her career, she worked in several healthcare settings before retiring from Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital due to health concerns.

Affectionately known to many as "Ron", Ann was a gifted seamstress who discovered her true passion in quilting, creating many beautiful pieces over the years. She also enjoyed tending to her flowers and was rarely without a home improvement project in progress.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Lucille Canaday; her brother, James "Jimmy" Canaday; and her sisters, Delores Pack, Margaret Fabian and Laura Buckland.

Ann is survived by her husband, Dwight Hutchinson; her daughter, Susan Ward; her son-in-law, Jamie Ward; her three grandchildren, Joshua, Peyton and Jaxton Ward. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Lulu, her life-long best friend Betty Settle; and 6 nieces and 4 nephews.

Ann's family is certain she is already reorganizing Heaven, starting a quilt, and reminding everyone that her way is, in fact, the best way.

There will be no funeral as Ann was a donor to the Human Gift Registry of the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, WV.
