Lorena  Barker
Lorena Barker, of Colcord, WV, a beautiful angel has gone home to heaven on June 15, 2019. She is now reunited with her husband, Buck, the love of her life.
Lorena loved God and her family. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, quilting sewing and spending time with her family.
Besides her husband, Buck, those who went before her, were her father, Cline Elkins; mother, Ersie Jane Elkins, sisters, Myrna Covic and Mauna Marney; and a granddaughter, Erin Thompson. Lorena is survived by a sister, Joyce Carol Gillis of Green Acres, FL; children: Sabrina (Dave) of Colcord, WV, Renee of North Grosvenordale, Connecticut, Duane (Paula) of Leon, WV; Scott of Cullman, AL, David (Tracey) of Glen Daniel, WV and Nicole (Lester) Killian of Mooresville, NC; grandchildren: Mark Lemle, Bryce Thompson, Floyd Paul Thompson, Chandra (Rich) Dussault, Hannah Thompson, Mehgan (Jeff) DePoole, Lindsey (Morgan) Nelson, Ethan Barker, Cierra Barker, Amber Barker, Aiden Barker, Isaac Barker, Nicholas (Natalie) Barker; Aaron (Summer) Vaughn; Tiffani (Zeb) Dixon, Morgan Killian and Hannan Killian; great grandchildren: Aaron Bunch, Kyra Thompson, Brandon Nelson, Baylee Nelson, Jase Vaughn, Henry DePoole and soon to be Nora Barker. She will be sadly missed by many friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning, June 18, 2019, at 11:00am at the Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV with Rev. Jerry Pauley, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mordue Cemetery, Whitesville, WV. Pallbearers will be Duane Barker, Scott Barker, David Barker, Nicholas Barker, Aiden Barker, and Lester Killian, Honorary Pallbearer, Isaac Barker.
