Stanaford - James Lee Flint Sr., age 86, of Stanaford, WV passed away at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, WV on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

Born on March 31, 1940 in Prince, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph Flint and Irene Kincaid Flint. He was raised with love by Alice and Bill Adkins.

Mr. Flint was retired from the Social Security Administration as a supervisor. He was a US Air Force Veteran and was president of the Bowling Association at Leisure Lanes. He was a member of First Brethren Church in Oak Hill, and Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church.

Mr. Flint was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Flint, and second wife Lee Flint; by his first wife, and the mother of his children, Ruby Louise Greene; daughter Tina Ebert; grandson Adam Michael Flint; brother Archie Flint; sister Macie Williams.

Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his children, James L. Flint Jr. of Manassas, Va, Ralph A. Flint of Hurricane, WV, Douglas R. Flint of Oak Hill, WV, Charles A. Flint and wife Kristi of Mount Hope, WV, and Michael J. Flint and wife Traci of Oak Hill, WV; step son Mike Pomeroy and wife Kim of Beckley, WV, along with 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Amos E. Quesenberry Peace Chapel of Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home in Beckley, WV on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Bill McClung officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Mausoleum in Beckley, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Saturday June 20, 2026 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.

Military honors will be provided by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
