North Haven, CT - Frances Kesler Holcomb Holliday, age 99 years, a former resident of Elkins,

WV and more recently a resident of North Haven, CT departed this life

Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford, CT.

She was born Tuesday, August 24, 1926 at Fayetteville, WV a daughter of the

late William Guy Kesler and Lillie Belle Argabright Kesler. She was twice

married. First, on August 31, 1946 at Hico, WV to Clyde Holcomb, who

preceded her in death July 2, 1948. Second, on March 10, 1950 at Witchita

Falls, TX to James Holliday, who preceded her in death, November 17, 1973.

Surviving are one son, Michael Eugene Holcomb and wife Katherine of North

Haven, CT; six grandchildren, Kimberly Holcomb Reese, Michael Scott Holcomb,

Natalie Sterbenz, Jennifer Doll, Marlena Pacapelli, and James Crichfield;

eleven great grandchildren; and eight great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death are one son, Richard William Holcomb; and two

daughters, Linda Kaye Holliday, and Brenda Faye Holliday Bray.

She attended West Virginia Grade Schools and was a graduate of West Haven

High School at West Haven Connecticut with the Class of 1945. She had

worked as a Division Manager for Sears in Connecticut, as a Secretary for

the Moose Club for 20 years and as Secretary for the Eagles Club for 10

years, She was a member of the Lookout Baptist Church at Fayette County, WV

and was a Baptist by faith. She was a member of the H. W. Daniels Post #

29, American Legion Auxiliary, the 8/40 American Legion Auxiliary, and the

Aerie # 2344 Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary.

A Graveside Service will be conducted at 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 11, 2026

at the Jennette Cemetery at Lookout, WV. Pastor Ann Fretwell will officiate

and interment will follow. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is honored to be in
