Martinsburg - Ella Sue Arvon, formerly of Whitesville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully on August 8, 2025, in Martinsburg, West Virginia. She was born on December 30, 1934, to Oather and Estella Humphrey of Sundial, West Virginia. Ella Sue was a wonderful daughter, loving wife and mother, and proud YiYi, along with being a caring and dedicated teacher for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother, Franklin Humphrey and husband of 59 years, Charlie Arvon formerly of Whitesville. Ella Sue is survived by her son, Pete and daughter-in-law, Barbara Arvon of Martinsburg, grandsons, Austin Arvon of Raleigh, North Carolina, Blake Arvon of Huntington, West Virginia, and Mitchell Arvon of Martinsburg, West Virginia,

grandchildren, Charlie Marshall and AveyJane Arvon of Huntington, West Virginia, and brother, Donald Humphrey of Georgetown, Indiana. Services will be held on Saturday, August 16th at Sylvester Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Dillon officiating. Family viewing will be at 10:00 am and public viewing at 11:00 am. The service will begin at 12:00 noon followed by burial at Pineview Cemetery in Orgas, West Virginia.
