Elizabeth
Elizabeth "Tootsie" Marie Bragg, age 88, of Lanark, WV, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019, at Bowers Hospice House.
Born on July 14, 1931, in Layland, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Goldie Kaylor Humphrey.
Mrs. Bragg retired from Pinecrest Hospital as a nursing assistant. She continued caring for others as an in-home caregiver.
She enjoyed reading, yard sales, crocheting and collecting dolls.
Tootsie was preceded in death by her husband, James Bragg; son Buster Bragg; daughter Shirley Brady; sister Thelma Dunbar; brothers Leonard and Albert Humphrey; and son-in-law Frank Lekan.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include daughters, Wilma Lekan of Waldorf, Md., and Sue Sutyak and husband Michael of Beckley.
A brother, Shelby Humphrey, and a son-in-law, Dale Brady.
Grandchildren: Cindy (Bill) Burr of North Augusta, SC, Kim (Eric) Cormack of Lanark, Lisa Richards of Beckley, Samantha Wooten of Lanark, Tina (Scott) Radford of Richmond, VA, Jennifer (Steve) Murray of Virginia and James Paul Bragg of Lanark. 17 great grandchildren, special friends and caregivers Sissy, Cookie, and Darlene also survive.
A Private Family Service will be held at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, November 12, 2019, with Pastor Bill Burr officiating. Burial will follow at Bragg Cemetery at Sandstone.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Bowers Hospice House, 454 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
