Hurricane, WV - David H. Williams, 74, of Hurricane, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on March 2, 2026.

Born in Beckley, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Dwight H. Williams and E. Marie Coots Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret Williams.

Dave graduated from Nitro High School in 1969 and was drafted into the United States Army in 1971. He later earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting) from West Virginia University, a Master's degree in Industrial Relations from the West Virginia College of Graduate Studies, and a Master's degree in Technology Management from Marshall University.

He retired from Unisys in 2008 and later from the West Virginia State Auditor's Office as Chief Information Officer in 2016.

Dave faithfully attended Hurricane First Church of the Nazarene, where he served on the security team and enjoyed cooking for the men's prayer breakfasts. He had a generous heart, often visiting the sick and sharing meals with neighbors when he cooked more than he needed.

He was a member of American Legion Post 187 and the Lions Club. An avid golfer, Dave also enjoyed traveling the world and taking cruises.

He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Cheryl Boholnick Williams; his brother Dewey H. Williams (Tricia); his sister Cheryl Williams Wilson; his nephew and niece Dustin H. Williams (Amber) and Jessi Hoffman (Aaron); and great-nieces and nephew Layla Williams, Charlie Kate Hoffman, and Henry Hoffman.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 1-3 p.m., with the funeral service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Hurricane First Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Paul Whiteford officiating.

Burial will take place Sunday, March 8, 2026 at 1 p.m. at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens in Beckley, West Virginia.
