Colin Dewayne Milam Sr. Obituary

Arnett - On Sunday, September 7, 2025, Colin Dewayne Milam Sr. went HOME to be with the Lord. He passed peacefully in his sleep in the HOME he was brought HOME to after being born on April 10, 1953.

He went by many names, Colin, Dewayne, Dad, Sonny Boy, PawPaw, but most knew him as Deke. The son of the late Oma and Lillie Milam of Arnett, WV, Deke was also preceded in death by his brother Thomas "Tommy" Milam, his sister Mary Bawgus, and his son Robert "Bobby" Milam.

Deke is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Anita (Jarrell) Milam; his son Colin and Sarah Milam of Arnett; his son Jonathan Milam of Arnett; his daughter Theresa (Milam) and Omar Medrano of North Carolina; his brother Oma and Doris Milam Jr. of Arnett; and his brother Bennie and Linda Milam of Hinton. He is also survived by his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Colin "Cole" Milam III and Lilly Milam of Arnett, better known as Big Guy and Sissy Pie. And there are many special nieces and nephews who grew up with him more as brothers and sisters that he has left behind. He will also be dearly missed by his best friend and dog, Ruby Sue.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Arnett Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., with the funeral to follow. Burial will take place at Miller Cemetery at Rock Creek. The service will be conducted by James Dickens and Larry Kinder. Pallbearers will be Bennie "Jay" Milam Jr., James Dickens, Terry Dillon, Kirby Jarrell, Brian Jarrell, and Mike Watson.

While we are left here to grieve, know that he is HOME and know there was no place he loved more than HOME. Whether it was his home place, where he spent all 72 years of his life with his loving family; his home church, Arnett Chapel; or his heavenly HOME. So don't feel sorry for this BLESSED MAN, he is HOME.
