Lester, WV - Carol Sue Utt Daniel, 83 of Lester, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday April 22, 2025 surrounded by her family.

Sue was the daughter of Harry and Opal Hodge Utt.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 yrs, Carl Edward Daniel; brothers Jack Utt, Jerry Utt and wife Cynthia and sister Phyllis Jackson; Grandsons Matthew Daniel and Tyler Challingsworth.

Left to cherish her memory are her children Terri and Tony Allen; Betsy and Dave Challingsworth; Robert and Crissy Daniel. Grandchildren Chris and Karen Allen, Josh and Dionne Allen, Curtis Daniel, Stacie and Josh Busby, Zach and Lindsay Challingsworth, Jacob and Dana Edwards and Zachary Edwards; Great Grandchildren Skyler Allen and significant other Khalil Penn, Jacob, Caleb, Amea and Emily Allen, Emma Edwards, Lainey Challingsworth; Great Great Grandson Kyson Penn, Great Granddaughter Carolyn Mae Edwards arriving July 2025 and Great Granddaughter Carlee Ray Busby arriving October 2025; sister Linda Williams and her husband Benny, brother in law Don Jackson and sister in law Mary Utt; special Aunt Ava McKinney and cousin Peggy Bolt; along with many extended family.

She was a faithful attendee of Bethel Freewill Baptist Church, and an active member of the Women's Auxiliary, serving as treasurer for many years. Sue was faithful in sending cards, correspondence to shut ins and singing in the choir.

If you knew her, you knew that she loved her Lord, her family and church above all. She was a beautiful gift to all of us who knew her, and she will be greatly missed.

Services will be held at Blue Ridge Funeral Home on Monday, April 28, 2025 at 12:00 pm with Pastor Gary Mills officiating. Friends may gather with the family from 11:00 until the time of the service.
