Beckley - Betty Lou Burgess, 91, of Beckley, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on July 14th, 2026.

Betty was born on November 13th, 1934, a daughter to her parents French and Icie Atha.

Betty is reunited in Heaven with her beloved first and second husband, Oneal and Robert; daughter, Arlene; son, Oral; brothers, Walter, Thomas, and Dallas; and sisters, Bessie, Lessie, and Hallie.

Those left to cherish her memory are her grandsons, Jason Linville and his wife Amy and Kevin Linville and his wife Anna; great-grandchildren, Devin, Levi, and Tanner; 1 step son, Jerry Burgess and his wife Marylin; 2 step grandchildren, Jerry Burgess Jr and Randy Burgess; 7 step great-grandchildren; best friends, Loretta, Peggy, Darrell, and Randy; and many family and friends who miss and love her.

A Funeral Service honoring Betty will be held on Friday, July 17th at 2 pm, at Melton Mortuary, with her good friend, Mike Kessinger officiating. The family will begin accepting visitors at 1 pm. Betty will be laid to rest following the service at Miller Cemetery in Rock Creek, WV.
