Annie Deloris Vestal
Annie Deloris Vestal, 85, of McRoss, entered her eternal home Monday, October 21, 2019, in the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, following a sudden illness.
Born October 31, 1933, at Marfrance, she was the daughter of the late James and Ester Tucker Gibson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren Kevin and Annette Crookshanks, six sisters and two brothers.
Deloris was an inspector at the local sewing plant until its closing. She was a faithful member of the Greenbrier Avenue Church of God, Rainelle where she sang with the Greenbrier Trio. Deloris enjoyed going to camp and loved being with the grandchildren and family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her devoted husband of 70 years, John Vestal; 1 son Mark Vestal and wife April of McRoss; 3 daughters Marilynn Trout and husband Kermit of McRoss, Deborah Crookshanks and husband Mikell, and Drema Brackenridge and husband Edward of Lewisburg; 1 brother Kenneth Gibson and wife Helen of Auburndale Florida; 1 sister Betty June Carr of Lily Park. 4 grandchildren Shawn Brackenridge (Karen) of San Antonio, Texas, Christopher Crookshanks (Kelly) of Grovetown, Georgia, Joshua Vestal (Elizabeth) of Glade Springs, and Heather Boyce (Tristan) of Fayetteville; 7 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Abigail and Alyssa Crookshanks, of Grovetown Georgia, Micaiah and Andrew Vestal of Shady Springs, and Griffin and Ashlynn Boyce of Fayetteville.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 26, at Smathers Funeral Chapel with Pastor Aaron Davidson and Pastor John Keeling officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville.
Friends may call one hour before the service from 12 - 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
