She was one of the greatest teachers. I loved having her as a teacher in elementary school. She taught me so much as was one of the teachers that aspired me to continue my art classes. I'll never forget her. R.I.P.

Originally from Loudendale outside of Charleston, Wilma lived according to the travel motto, "Wild and Wonderful". Between the river valleys and back hollers, she traveled many country roads.

Dear Wilma I have always loved your openness to all experiences. Your sense of fun in everything. I know you loved your family and friends immensely and always thought of creative ways to express that love. I know at our house we have many hand made card wishing us happy birthday or Merry Christmas. Hand made photo books to remember our experiences. Lovely poems that welcomed each kid into the world. Lots of thoughtful gifts and mementos. Most precious are wonderful memories of our experiences with you through good times and bad. One of my favorite memories was once with just you and me, making jelly during the day with the berries we’d picked at Johnnie McBrides... then going to ladies... night for an evening of fun. Lots of kind gents had bought us drinks which were spread before us. We drank as many as we could stomach and on the way home saw and empty hotel swimming pool. We decided “what the heck!” And laughed and laughed after stripping down to our birthday suites for a midnight swim in that pool. It was a fun, fun, night with just me and you!Read more

Joel, So sorry for your loss and admire your being there for your mother and taking care of her. I didn't get to know her for very long but cared a lot for her. Just wanted to make sure you knew that Mike and Donna have not been married for years and my name is Myra not Donna thank you.

To think of a special memory I had to watch a movie in my head. In every picture I am smiling. Wilma could make the most mundane special , with little money. She taught me how to stand straight, to shoot a gun, to me to meet her parents, and many things I do not want to publicize. She leaves an empty place in my heart. Thank you Wilma for teaching me to see my self value.I won't say "Rest in peace" because you would be bored. Bon voyage Wilma.
