William Paul Roach, 87, of Green Sulphur Springs, won his lengthy battle with cancer and went to be with his Lord on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Bowers Hospice House. Born June 11, 1930, in Asbury, he was the son of the late William Clark Roach and Lillian Bryant Roach.
Paul was employed by C & O Railroad for 42 years. He attended Lick Creek Baptist Church. He never met a blade of grass he didnt want to cut or leaf he didnt want to rake. He enjoyed sitting on the porch swing and chatting with friends and family.
He was predeceased by his daughter Redia Diann Harrah, a brother John Roach, and sisters Annie Hedrick and Ollie Smailes.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Eltay Loretta Roach, daughters Dorma J. Roach of Hinton and Phyllis A. Deeds and husband Larry of Conway, S.C., son-in-law Bill L. Harrah of Green Sulphur Springs, grandchildren Papaws girl Joni D. Harrah of Green Sulphur Springs and Billy S. Harrah and wife Shannon of Layland, and great grandchildren, Colby and Madison Harrah, of Layland, sisters Loreta Martin of Rainelle and Linda Wright of Dorset, OH, and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held Wednesday, December 6, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. at Wallace & Wallace Funeral Chapel in Rainelle with Pastor Clay ODell and Pastor Larry Deeds officiating. Friends may call Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Chapel.
