Wanda's Story

Wanda Mae Vandall was born on February 25, 1930, in Beckley, WV, to the late Lawrence and Deena Warden. She lost her battle with Alzheimer's on December 1, 2017.
Mrs. Vandall loved floral gardening, always had a great sense of humor, and could strike up a conversation with anyone. She was a fun and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She also enjoyed collecting dolls.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 54 years, Thomas Stephen Vandall; her son, Thomas Vandall; and her brothers, Clarence Warden and Lewin Warden.
She is survived by her daughter, Deena Beaver and her husband, Keith; two grandchildren, Jeremy Beaver and Renee Deal and her husband, Jason; three great-grandchildren, Brianna, Thomas and Candice; her sister, Betty Worley of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, December 5, 2017, at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Ryan Trescott officiating. Burial will follow in the Garden of Everlasting Life in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
