Sharon's Story

Sharon Lee Cook, 77, of Jumping Branch passed away Friday, September 15, 2017, at Bowers Hospice House following a long illness.
Born August 14, 1940, in Logansport, IN, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Johnson and Georgia Pitzer Johnson Dunk.
Sharon was a homemaker who loved gardening and flowers. She was a "Jack of all trades."
Sharon was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior and Charles Johnson, and one sister, Colleen Forrest.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Sammy J. R. Cook at home; one son, Don Vaughan of Jumping Branch; two stepchildren, Angela Fisher and Wesley Fisher both of Beckley; two grandchildren, Jenny Goins and Ashley Goins; one great grandchild, Amiah Goins; one brother, Harold Johnson of GA. She was loved and will be missed by many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A gathering of family and friends will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. The family requests "no flowers" please and memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Arrangements are by the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlors of Hinton.
