Shannon Loranza Dickens of Arnett, WV passed away, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the CAMC Memorial Division Hospital in Charleston, WV.
He was born on June 12, 1967 in Beckley, WV to Kathleen Simmons Dickens and the late Gerald Avon Dickens.
Shannon loved his "Baby Girl", family and friends. He was a genuine country boy at heart. He was a friend to all and never met a stranger. Loved working with his DEP brothers, his garage, working on cars, his garden and classic rods.
He is survived by his daughter, Maddi "Baby Girl" Dickens; his mother, Kathleen Simmons Dickens of Arnett, WV; a sister, Kendra Avona Dickens Asbury and brother-in-law and best friend, Terry (Turtleman) Asbury of Arnett; a nephew, Saul Goldsberry of Arnett; Lisa Peters Williams, girlfriend and soul mate of Horsecreek; 3 aunts: Doris Davis and Uncle Larry of Seth, June Simmons of Stickney and Clarice Cook of Crab Orchard; an uncle Edsel Simmons and Sandy of Arnett; multiple special cousins; special friend, Arthur Littleton of Rock Creek and his ex-wife, Jackie Schmeling and husband, Bryan.
Pallbearers: Arthur Littleton, Terry Asbury, Bryan Schmeling, Work brothers WV DEP, Rob Goodwin and William Levendis.
Funeral services will be 2 pm Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017, at Armstrong Funeral Home, Whitesville, WV, with Clergy Mike Furey and Dave Harris officiating. Interment in the Miller Cemetery at Rock Creek, WV.
Visitation will be Saturday from 6-9 at the funeral home.
