Dr. Robert Timothy (Tim) Kellam of Mt. Hope, WV, and Orlando, FL, passed away on December 21st, 2017, at Hospice of Southern WV in Beckley, WV. Tim is survived by his wife Shirley, his four children, Carol Stringfellow (Marvin) of Abilene, TX, Linda Barker (Silas) of Orlando, FL, David Kellam (Lana Stoffer) of Orlando, FL, and Bruce Kellam of Orlando, FL, and a Step-Daughter Cindy Taylor (Wallace) of Huntington. Tim was born in Binghamton, NY, on June 24, 1921, to Lawrence Jepta and Ruth L Manning Kellam. He attended Binghamton schools and graduated from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY, in 1942. He enlisted in the United States Navy after graduation and served during World War II attaining the rank of Lieutenant.
Tim is a former President of the Florida Academy of Osteopathy (1974-76); Chief of Staff, Orlando General Hospital (1968-76); Officer in the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association and a long-standing member of the American Osteopathic Association.
Tim was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Orlando and the Mt. Hope Presbyterian Church in Mt. Hope, WV. He enjoyed golf, photography, backpacking and being with the Kellam family.
Tim donated his body to the WV Osteopathic School in Lewisburg, WV. There will be no service. Contributions in Tim's name are welcomed to Hospice of Southern WV, 456 Cranberry Drive, Beckley, WV 25801.
