Robert "Johnny" Bryson
Heaven gained the most amazing saint on Thursday, December 28, 2017. Robert Bryson, known his entire life as Johnny Bryson was taken from us way to soon.
Johnny was born on August 10, 1955 to Clatis "Bunny" Bryson and Edith Bryson who both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Polly Ann Bryson, with whom he made his home in Glen Rogers for 43 years.
Johnny was a member of Coal Marsh Missionary Baptist Church where he never missed a service.
Johnny knew no stranger and was loved by so many people. He was employed by Amerigas where he drove a propane truck for the last 18 years.
Johnny had made his home in Surveyor for the past 1 and ½ years and is survived by his new bride Sharon Bryson.
Johnny is also survived by his three sons, Johnny Wayne and wife Marion of Glen Rogers, Clatis Lee and wife Jennifer of Beckley and Roger and wife Lynn of the Philippines.
He is also survived by his brother Rick Bryson and wife Daisy of Fairdale, sisters Linda Eaton and husband Randy of Tolleytowne and Jeannie Basham and husband Thurman (T.J.) of Surveyor.
Johnny was also the very proud pawpaw to Reese, Alijah, Emilee, Lindsey, Mikey, Katie, Sidney, Johnny, Shania, Courtney and a great grandchildren Talan and Maleigha. He was also the proud uncle to Jacob, Jared and Joshua .
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 4 at 12:00 pm at the Melton Mortuary Chapel with Brothers Wes Fondale and Michael Furey officiating. Burial will follow in the Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 3 from 6 to 8 pm at the Mortuary.
Pallbearers will be Alijah Bryson, Shane Messer, Rick Bryson II, Mikey Boling, Larry Wright Jr., and Randy Lee Goodson. Honorary Pallbearers are Michael Bryson and Jacob Basham.
Our lives were forever changed and will never be the same. Rest in peace our wonderful Johnny. We will love you forever.
