Norma Jean McCallister, age 79, of MacArthur, WV, passed away on Friday, November 10, 2017.
Born on August 12, 1938, at Jonben, she was the daughter of the late Oley Meador and Eva Reed Meador.
Mrs. McCallister was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith, who was a firm believer of her Lord, and totally put her trust in Him. She enjoyed gardening, yard sales, flea markets, her cats, and spending time with her family. Mrs. McCallister was a real "people person" who never met a stranger, and was loved by all that knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Willis Sr., by daughter Gloria Jean Willis, by brothers, James Edward Sr. and Raymond "Bo," and by a sister Claris "Cacky" Campbell.
Those survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Bobby Lee Willis Jr. and wife Nancy of Beckley, Sharon Lynn Bragg and husband Sam of MacArthur, Patricia Ann Alberty and husband Clayton of Crab Orchard, and Howard McCallister Jr. of Martinsburg, WV.
Brother, Robert Meador of MacArthur, sisters, Glenna Mitchem and husband Theodore of MacArthur, and Velma "Boonie" Rowe of MacArthur.
Seven grandchildren, Jason Daniels of South Carolina, Bobby Lee Willis III of Beckley, Daniel Sisk of Sophia, Sammy Bragg, Cory Bragg, Cody Bragg, all of MacArthur, and Stephany Cassity Willis of Crab Orchard; five great grandchildren, Xander, Owen, and Sully Daniels of South Carolina, Kilian Willis of Crab Orchard, and Owen Gear Sisk of Sophia.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at 2 PM with Rev. Roger Pauley officiating. Burial will follow at Calfee Cemetery at Mount Tabor, WV. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jason Daniels, Bobby Willis III, Sammy Bragg, Daniel Sisk, Clayton Alberty, and Mike Fleshman.
