Mrs. Pauline's Story
Mrs. Pauline Marie Hill Morris, 83, of Beckley, died Thursday, December 28, 2017.
Born December 18, 1934 in Slab Fork, WV, she was the daughter of the late Francill "Frank" and Essie Baxter.
Mrs. Morris worked at Beckley Hospital and was a Day Care Provider, member of New Hope Baptist Church and State President of Maggie L. Walker Temple.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sons, Lonnie Patterson Jr., Ernest "June" Morris Jr. and Charles "Terry" Morris; stepdaughter, Shirley Dorsey; granddaughter's Temika "Tammy" Callender; husbands, Ernest Morris Sr. and Lonnie Patterson Sr.; and three great-grandchildren.
Those left to cherish precious memories are her son, Larry (Judy) Patterson Sr. of Beckley; daughters, Phyllis (Jebiz) Anderson of Beckley, Vicky (Tyrone) Tanks of Highland Springs, VA, Linda Morris and Kimberly Morris, both of Beckley; 26 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; three great-great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon Friday, January 5, 2018 at New Hope Baptist Church, 304 Worley Road, Beckley with Elder Rodney Keith Hill and Rev. Nathaniel Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
