Maxine Flint Justice, 91, of Charleston passed away on March 26, 2017, at home surrounded by her children. Born in Alderson, WV, on June 15, 1925, Maxine was the middle daughter of Emery Elbert Flint and Florence Elizabeth Gwinn formerly of Rainelle, WV.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her 2 sisters Wenona Paulette Mitchell of Rainelle and Euela Mae Stewart of Waverly, OH, and her loving husband, Charles Paul "Curley" Justice, Sr., a long-time pharmacist in Montgomery WV.
Maxine is survived by her son, COL (R) John Justice (Karen) of Frederick, MD, daughters Sandra Elizabeth Justice of Las Vegas, NV, and Paulette Susan Justice of Charleston, WV, and grandson Charles Bryan Frye (Jessica) of Spokane, WA.
Maxine was a proud member of the International Order of the Eastern Star for over 63 years serving as Worthy Matron of Guiding Star Chapter of Gauley Bridge in 1963, Worthy Grand Matron of WV in 1970 and Most Worthy Grand Matron of the international organization in 1994. She will be fondly remembered by her O.E.S Sisters and Brothers she met in each of the 50 states and 91 overseas chapters she visited during her 3-year MWGM term.
Service will be 1:00 PM Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Bollinger Funeral Home, 420 Lee St. W., Charleston, WV, with Dale Wood officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery Memorial Park in London, WV. Friends may call 2 hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
