Dear Family Members,
I knew Mary when she was Head Nurse in Pediatrics at WVU Hospital. I was a young registered dietitian just starting her career.

Although Mary was juggling many tasks as Head Nurse, she was calm, in charge, helpful and friendly. She was respected by all of the professionals, students and
staff ( and me).
I particularly remember her discussing patients with Dr Klingberg, Head of Pediatrics.
Mary was never “ruffled” and always had a smile on her face.

After I accepted another job, I would see Mary at basketball games, Lifelong Learning classes and at Kroger’s. We would chat and catch up on our lives.

I always remember Mary’s smile, friendly words, outgo personality and sincere interest in others.

Mary impacted many lives and helped many ill children and their families , let alone student nurses and medical students and all she came into contact.

Please accept my sincere condolences and prayers,
Betty Forbes
