Karen Jean Kincaid Wiley, 68, of Victor, WV went home to Heaven on Thursday, November 9, 2017. She died at the Beckley VA Medical Center following an extended illness.
She was born on August 24, 1949 in Hico, WV, the oldest daughter of the late William Agnew Wheet Kincaid and Mary Louise Hawver Kincaid DeLay.
Karen was a 1967 graduate of Ansted High School. She was a veteran, having served in the Womens Army Corps (WAC) from 1967 to 1970, attaining the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. Karen worked as a draftsman for several years for the city of Largo, FL. She was a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church in Hopewell, WV.
Karen was a very caring person who impacted the lives of many people with her sweet personality and generous spirit. Karen was especially loved by her family and her veteran family at the Beckley VA Medical Center, where she resided the last year of her life.
She is survived by five siblings: Billy Kincaid, Kenny (Mary) Kincaid, both of Victor, WV, Denny Kincaid of Lookout, WV, Terry Reed of Goldsboro, NC, and Steve (Amy) DeLay of Williamstown, WV; nine nieces and nephews: Stuart Basham, Donna Standifur, Tammy (Shawn) Ben-Efraim, Melissa (James) White, Denny Patrick Kincaid, Chris (Amy) Reed, Kyler Reed, Ryan DeLay, and Jason DeLay; six great nieces and nephews, and one great-great nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Earl Wiley, a brother, Bobby Lee Kincaid, and nephews, Bobby Lee Kincaid, Jr. and Bradley Kincaid.
Services will be held at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Ansted, WV. Visitation will be held from noon to 2pm on Saturday, November 11, followed by the funeral service at 2pm, officiated by Pastor Steve DeLay. The graveside service will follow at Rest Lawn Memory Gardens at Victor, WV.
