Joe R. Wills Jr., affectionately known as "Big'n", our beloved husband, father and grandfather, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at his home.
Born, May 26, 1954, at Beckley, WV, he was the son of the late Joe R. Wills Sr. and Helen Lucas Wills.
Big'n enjoyed hunting and working on cars, having built several from the frame up and overnight trips on the trike he built. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his step mother, Theda J. White Wills; fathers-in-law, Fred G. Honaker Sr. and Ferrell M. Anderson, and his mother-in-law, Nellie M. Honaker Anderson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 43 years, Sandra Honaker Wills; a daughter, Melissa Wills-Perry; granddaughters, Amanda and Toni Perry and Amelia Smith, all of Arnett; brothers, Steve (Juanita) and Mike (Dorothy) of Arnett, WV, David Gregory (Kathy) of Quincy, MA and Vanden (Denise) of Jacksonville, FL; a sister, Joetta Withrow of Hedgesville, WV; sisters-in-law, Linda (Ronnie) Cooper and Sharon (Eddie) Milam, of Saxon, WV, and Anita (Thomas) Snuffer of Vass, NC; brothers-in-law, Freddie (Olivia) Honaker of Oak Hill, WV, Kevin (Cindy) Honaker of Saxon, WV, and Barry Honaker of Vass, NC, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted at Breckenridge Missionary Baptist Church at Bolt, WV, on Monday, December 4, 2017 at 1 PM with Pastor Dewey Lowe and Preacher Earl Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Fred Honaker Farm Cemetery at Posey-Saxon, WV. Friends may visit with the family from 11 AM until service time on Monday at the church. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
