Janice Bennett Hall, 72, of McRoss, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2017, in the Peyton Hospice House, Fairlea, following a short battle with cancer.
Born August 15, 1945, at Nettie, she was the daughter of the late Herman and Bonnie Tremble Bennett.
Janice worked in the Terminal Drug restaurant; was a certified watch maker; loved to travel; loved to cook (and was good at it); and she enjoyed wildlife, especially spending time with her 'grandpup' Koby. Janice was a member of the Sewell Valley Baptist Church, Rainelle.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved Paul R. Hall Sr. and her brother Falvius Bennett.
Survivors include her stepson Paul "Rick" Hall of Spotsylvania, Virginia; her brother J.D. Bennett and wife Linda of Rainelle; her niece Tammy Cales and husband Stewart of Rainelle; her great-nephew Jordan Dameron and wife Kala of Rainelle; 2 great-great nieces Delainy and Quinnleigh Dameron of Rainelle; her brother-in-law George Hall of Rainelle; 2 sisters-in-law Nancy Kennedy of Norwood, Pennsylvania and Frances White of Binghamton, New York; and a host of friends.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, October 19, at Smathers Funeral Chapel, Inc., with Pastor Fred Fryar officiating. Burial will follow in the Wallace Memorial Cemetery at Clintonville.
