Helen Louise Farley, 91, of New Richmond went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, May 18, 2018, at Wyoming Nursing and Rehab, in New Richmond.
Born September 9, 1926, in Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Emmet Laxton, and the late Grace Brinager.
Helen was a member of the Pineville Church of God, and a life long resident of Wyoming County. For most of her life she was a homemaker, and in later years she worked as a caregiver, taking care of the Elderly. She loved her family, her children, grandchildren, but most of all she loved her Lord and Savior.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 67 years Guy P. Farley, a daughter Linda Powers, Brother, Emmet Laxton Jr. Daughter-in-law Linda Farley, two sons-in-law Eddy Umberger, and Grover Powers.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two daughters Brenda Browning and her husband Wesley of Rural Retreat, Va, and Joy Umberger of Wytheville, Va. Four sons Randall Farley and wife Debbie of West Union, WV, Roger Farley of New Richmond, Guy Farley Jr. of Saulsville, Jerome Farley of New Richmond, a grandson that she raised Randall Farley Jr. of Youngsville, N.C., and a nephew that she raised Teddy Farley and wife Louise of Lewisburg, her sister in law Ola Laxton, 35 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, May 22, 2018, at Noon in the Pineville Church of God with her Pastor, Norman Gray, officiating. Following the service she will be laid to rest in the Cook Cemetery in Rockview. Pallbearers will be T.j. Farley, Wesley Browning, Guy Farley Jr., Devin Farley, Jerry Farley, and Doug Thorn.
Friends may gather with the family on Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at the church.
