Frieda's Story

Frieda Joan Hollins McCall, 86, of Allen Junction, will be spending Christmas, her favorite time of year with her family in Heaven, she gained her angel wings at Bowers Hospice House on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 following a brave battle with cancer.
Born July 13, 1931 in Beechwood, WV, she was the daughter of the late Paris Monroe and Eva (Hubbard) Hollins.
Frieda graduated Beauty School from Prescott, AZ and retired as the Owner of McCall's Beauty Salon at age 62. A few of her favorite things were dancing, crocheting, and winning at Bingo. Her most treasure moments were spending time with her family especially at the camp.
In addition to her parents she is also preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers, Irene Deatherage, Pauline Lefler, Paul Hollins, Stella Hollins, Madeline Sizemore, and Charles Hollins; and her twin girls, Brenda Kay and Linda Fay.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband of 70 years, William Harrison "Buddy" McCall of Allen Junction; her children, William "Ronnie" McCall and his wife, Sharon of Allen Junction, Donna "Lynn" Reed and her husband, Tom of Barger Springs, and Teddy Shelton "Bo" McCall of Allen Junction; grandchildren, Tammy Griffey and her husband, Huburt, Cheryl Hendricks and her husband, Gary, and William (Will) McCall and his wife, Heather all of Allen Junction and Michelle Jones and her husband, Phillip of Princeton and Scott Reed and his wife, Melissa of Beckley; great grandchildren, Justin, Makayla, Myranda Griffey and Brandon, Emily, Elizabeth Hendricks and Jordan, Taylan, Preslie, and Ashton Jones and Austin, Hailey, Wyatt McCall, Ava Reed and Emily and Taylor Bennett; great great grandchild, Brady Hendricks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins whom she loved dearly.
Services will be 12 Noon, Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Tankersley Funeral Home Chapel, Mullens with Rev. Curtis England officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley.
Friends may call one hour prior to services Saturday at the funeral home.
Family will serve as pallbearers.
