Frances Lorrene Willard Richmond passed from this earthly home to her heavenly home on October 19, 2017 at Marietta Memorial Hospital after a short illness. Frances was born on May 6, 1927 in Rainelle, WV. Frances was a compassionate, giving and loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a homemaker for most of her life except for a brief job in a manufacturing plant in Beckley, WV, which made part of the harness for the first moon shot. She loved to sew, crochet, read, draw, paint and was a wonderful cook.
She was the daughter of the late Arnold & Maude Willard. She was preceded in death by her husband Milford C Richmond who died in 1983 after 37 years together and two sisters, Louise Smith and Wanda Hutsenpiller. She is survived by one son M.C. Richmond (Karen) of Mt. Washington, KY and one daughter, Janet King (Wayne) of Williamstown, WV; four grandchildren, Deborah McVey (Jim), Rebecca Ruzek (Boris), Jason King and Daniel Richmond; three great grandchildren, James McVey, Connor Ruzek, and Emma King. She is survived by two brothers James Willard (Eloise), Charles Willard (Glenda) and one sister Nancy Bobbitt (Tom), longtime friend Frank Harris and several loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 22nd at Wallace Memorial Mausoleum Chapel, Clintonville, Greenbrier County, WV with Reverend Brandon Haskett officiating. Burial will follow at the End of the Trail Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 1:00 until time of service at the mausoleum chapel.
