Eva Rebeccah Wood-Cooper, 99, of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Beaver, WV, went to her heavenly home to join her beloved husband, Kyle and daughter, "Debbie" on Monday, September 18, 2017, which was also her late daughter's birthday.
Born January 3, 1918, in Wyoming County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Stephen M. Wood and Marinda J. Sizemore-Wood.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Kyle C. Cooper; daughter, Deborah K. Cooper; brothers, Edwin Wood, Roman Wood, Howard Wood, James F. Wood, Blane Wood and Cleve Wood and her sisters, Norma Jean Hilbert-Epler, Selda Jarrell and Beulah Karnes.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna Cooper-Bowyer and husband, Cecil, of Palm Coast, FL; granddaughters, Leslie Gibeaut-Farley and husband, Thomas, of South Charleston, WV, Misti Riddle-Treadway and husband, Mark, of Cool Ridge, WV and grandson, R. Scott Riddle and wife, Sarah, of Hurricane, WV; great-granddaughters, Bethany Farley-Stafford and husband, Ryan, and their son, Jaxson, Morgan Farley-Martin and husband, Corey, and their son, Justin, of Beckley, WV, Ashlee Treadway-Obugene and husband, Josh, and their daughter, Kyleigh, and two sons, Joshua and Mark, and Holly Treadway-Buckland and her son, Kyle, of Cool Ridge, WV and Madelaine and Marinda Riddle of Hurricane, WV. Also surviving are sisters, Shirley Greer- Lafferty and husband, Jan, Daphine Stokely and a brother, Stephen M. Wood and wife, June, in addition to several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Cooper was a faithful member of Beaver United Methodist Church where she loved to sing in the choir. Her hobbies were reading her Bible, gardening, embroidering, singing in the church choir, cooking Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas feasts and family dinners for her loving family, who, when they said, "I love you", she would always respond "I love you the mostest".
Visitation will be Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm with services immediately following at 2:00 pm at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley with Pastor Betty Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband and daughter.
Pallbearers will be, Thomas Farley, Mark Treadway, Ryan Stafford, Corey Martin, Carl Buckland and Stephen Wood, Jeff Hilbert and Tom Pugh.
