In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Debra Shadd of Turkey Creek, WV. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, William "Bill" Hodges of Lester, WV; son, Matthew Hodges and daughter-in-law, Tamber Hodges of Beckley; grandson, Nate Hodges of Beckley; and sister, Linda Harold and her husband, Paul of South Carolina.
Edith retired from WVDHHR after 35 years as a financial clerk.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Blue Ridge Funeral Home with Pastor Brian McAlister officiating. Entombment will follow the service in Hope Mausoleum of Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
