Dwight Dale Scrubby Claypool, 63, of Rainelle passed away on Monday morning, October 9, 2017 at Meadow Garden, Rainelle.
Born on October 2, 1954, at Meadow Bridge, he was the son of the late Leonard Brackenridge Buster Claypool and Mary Ellen Maple Harrah Claypool.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Minnie McConnaha and 2 brothers, Teddy and Leonard Claypool.
Scrubby enjoyed playing guitar and singing, he thoroughly enjoyed living at Meadow Garden where the staff was so good to him. He enjoyed being with family and friends and always wanted his hotdog and milkshake.
Survivors are 3 sisters, Hallie (Jay) Wright of Jacksonville, FL, Margaret Lough of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Jane McClanahan of Backus Mountain; brother, William (Carolyn) Claypool; brother and guardian, Norman Tommy (Sharon) Claypool both of Backus Mtn; brother-in-law, John McConnaha of Millington, TN; sister-in-law, Audrey Claypool of Danese.
Service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel, Rainelle with Pastor Steve Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Harrah Cemetery at Backus Mountain. Friends may call 1:00 until time of service.
