Donna Sue Bennett Ward, age 65, of Beaver, WV, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018, at Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Division.
Born on September 22, 1952, in Beckley, she was the daughter of Faye Plumley Pyatt of Beckley and the late Ray Earl Bennett, and was the stepdaughter of the late Silas Pyatt.
Donna was a former employee of the WV Turnpike Commission and was a member of First Baptist Church in Beaver. She enjoyed sewing and cross stitching.
In addition to her father and stepfather, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Ward, a sister, Kathy Plumley, a brother Ronald Bennett, and by two nephews, John and Byron Cobb.
In addition to her mother, Faye Pyatt, survivors include her children, Stephanie Daniels and husband, Paul of Beaver, Tammy Evans and husband, Phil, of Bruceton Mills, WV, and Denny Bennett and wife, Whitney, of Scott Depot, WV; siblings, Willard Bennett and wife, June, of Geneva, Ohio, Gary Bennett and wife, Myrtle, of Elyria, Ohio, Alice Halbert of Marion, Illinois, and Nora McMillion of Beckley; seven grandchildren, Cindi Pugh, Samantha Dilts, Hannah Daniels, Sam Evans, Austin Bennett, Cameron Bennett and Summer Bennett; four great grandchildren, Kaylee Waddell, Zak Waddell, Asher Pugh, and Oaklee Pugh, and two great grandchildren soon to be born, Isabella and Tennison Dilts.
A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 5:30 PM, with a eulogy and singing by Rick Lilly. Friends and family may gather together from 3:30 PM until 5:30 PM on Saturday at the funeral home. As per the request of Donna, cremation will follow.
