Don McKinley Bragg, age 69, of Jumping Branch, WV, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 2, 2017.
Born on January 27, 1948 in Beckwith, WV, he was the son of the late Eldridge M. Bragg and Chloe Isabelle Martin Bragg.
Don was a retired coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was also a Veteran of the US Army. Don was an avid "coon" hunter, and loved his Walker dogs. He also loved gardening and doing mechanic work.
In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by a sister, Karen K. Lilly.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his companion of 20 years, Leah Stalnaker, his children, Donald M. "Donnie" Bragg of Streeter, and Ashley G. Farrell and her husband, Scott, of Hinton; a stepson, Timmy McGraw of Streeter; three grandchildren, Bryanna and Dylan Bragg and Megan McGraw; brothers, Gary A. Bragg of Powleys Creek, Glenn E. Bragg of Mount View and Allen B. Bragg of Jumping Branch; sisters, Dorothy G. "Dottie" Martin and husband, Bill, of Beaver, and Angie M. Lilly of Beckley. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Funeral Home Shady Spring Chapel on Friday, October 6, 2017, at 2 PM with Pastor Dana Stalnaker officiating. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Friday at the funeral home.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
