David Lee Keffer, age 61, of Coal City, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at his home.
Born on September 26, 1956, in Beckley, he was the son of the late Eddie Keffer and Mildred Lenora Howlett Keffer.
Mr. Keffer was a disabled coal miner and a member of the UMWA. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith, and enjoyed football, softball, fishing and NASCAR. He truly loved his Chevy truck. David was a special brother, friend and neighbor and was loved by all that knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, William "Bill" Keffer.
Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his siblings, Brenda Lewis and husband, Jimmy, of Waxahachie, Texas, Bobby Keffer of Princewick, Phyllis Jennings and husband, Albert, of Jonben, and Armon "Dale" Keffer and wife, Cindy, of Flat Top. Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at Rose and Quesenberry Peace Chapel in Beckley on Monday, November 20, 2017, at 11 AM with Rev. Gary Eskins officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in Beckley. Friends may visit with the family from 6 PM until 9 PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be friends and family members.
