Benjamin D. Tincher, 90, of Rupert, passed away at his home on Wednesday evening, November 29, 2017.
Born on December 24, 1926, at Springdale, he was the son of the late Hazel Clay and Bessie Ramsey Tincher.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth in 2010; daughter, Cathy Symes; 2 sons, Benjamin and Richard; 1 grandchild, Leslie; 3 sisters, Cora Martin, Irene Donnally, Faye Harrah; 5 brothers, Clarence Ramsey, Alva, Arley, Ray and Jessie Tincher.
Benjamin was a World War II veteran and he was of the Baptist faith. He will be missed by all his family.
Survivors are 3 daughters, Drema Tincher of Rupert, Ethel (Henry) Harron of Lexington, NC, and Brenda Scarles of Lexington, NC; 1 son, Floyd ( Teresa) Tincher of Rupert, 2 sisters, Loretta Patrick of Jumping Branch, Dorothy Martin of FL; 9 grandchildren, Wayne, Jeff, John, Tammy, Amy, Angel, Woody, David and Carol; 16 great grandchildren.
Service will be 11:00 am, Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Wallace & Wallace Chapel with Rev. Timothy McClung officiating. Burial will follow at Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 am until time of service.
